The Guernsey Contraceptive Service offers free confidential counselling to women who are thinking of ending a pregnancy, and to women who have had an abortion either recently or in the past.
Some women have difficulty adjusting to the sense of loss which may follow an abortion, especially if they have not had the opportunity to think and talk about things beforehand. Feelings of grief, anger, or guilt may be difficult to express to family or friends.
If you would like to arrange an appointment to talk things through in confidence, please call 07781 126439.
Further information on abortion can be found by visiting the following website www.bpas.org
If you have experienced domestic abuse, sexual assault or rape, you can access free counselling through the charity Guernsey Women’s Aid. Please phone their confidential phone line for more information 07781 133321 (voice mail).
