Choices New Premises
On 4th May 2022 Choices moved to new premises at 13 North Plantation St Peter Port. When the service was founded in the 1970’s, as the Guernsey Family Planning clinic, it was located at Lukis House. However, for the past 22 years h the charity has been operating from 7 Le Pollet St Peter Port.
Due to the current lease expiring and the service looking to provide a service fit for the 21st Century we began looking for a new location and were delighted to be able to secure the lease on the previous First Contact Health building. The premises was already set up as a medical facility and so has required minimal alteration. We feel its location is perfect as it is discreet but central and offers accessibility. Patients who have already attended have responded very favourably and seem as happy as we are with our new surroundings!
As we become more settled, we are hoping to expand our services and offer more flexibility over appointments. Following securing a new IT provider in November 2021 – Inform Healthcare- the system has the provision to permit online booking which we would like to introduce in the latter part of the year.
