This is an injection of progestogen hormone given every 12 weeks approximately. We currently have 2 different options including Depo-Provera and Sayana Press. Depo-Provera is given in clinic by our nurses and Sayana Press can be self administered after instruction. These are a very effective, long acting method of contraception and can help with heavy periods.
